The motherboard uses the Intel C612 chipset with an LGA 2011-3 socket populated by one Xeon E5-2620 v4. With a single processor installed, only eight of the sixteen DIMM slots are active and quad-channel memory up to 2400 MHz is limited to that half of the board.
