Transparent 2.5" SATA Enclosure

The Hannord 2.5-inch SATA to USB 3.0 enclosure turns a spare 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD into an external USB drive. It accepts drives between 7mm and 9.5mm thick up to a maximum capacity of 2TB. The transparent polycarbonate shell lets you see the installed drive at a glance. It works with Windows, Linux, Mac OS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and smart TVs.

Tool-free installation with UASP

The enclosure uses a tool-free design so you can insert or remove a drive without screws or a screwdriver. It is hot-swappable and plug-and-play, requiring no driver installation on supported systems. An LED indicator shows power and activity status. UASP support is included, which can deliver up to 70% faster performance than standard USB 3.0 bulk endpoints when the host controller also supports UASP.

Sustained transfer up to 5 Gbps

The USB 3.0 interface provides a theoretical maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports. Actual sustained throughput depends on the installed SATA drive and the host system's USB implementation. The enclosure is bus-powered via the USB connection, so no external power adapter is required for typical 2.5-inch drives.
