The chassis supports up to two processors and a maximum of 128 GB total memory across 24 DIMM slots, so no further RAM can be added beyond the 128 GB already fitted. A second Xeon E5 v3 CPU can be installed if the workload demands more than six cores. Verify that your rack provides 2U of vertical space and that the 500 W redundant power supplies match your PDU connectors.

Integrates into a 16-bay SFF chassis

Sixteen 2.5-inch SAS drive bays are available; two 1 TB 7.2K drives are installed and the P440 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across all bays. An optional universal media bay or an extra eight SFF bays can occupy the third bay area. Dual hot-swap power supplies deliver redundancy without external UPS units. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics provide basic console output for headless management.
