The Supermicro SYS-6029U-E1CR4T is a 2U rackmount system built around two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors. Each CPU provides 16 cores at 2.1 GHz with a 3.7 GHz turbo frequency. The platform targets virtualization, hyper-converged storage and cloud workloads that benefit from dual-socket density.

12 hot-swap 3.5-inch bays with MegaRAID

Twelve front-access drive trays accept 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drives and connect to the included LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller with 1 GB battery-backed cache. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are supported. The eight-port controller leaves four bays without a direct path unless an additional HBA is installed. Memory stands at 128 GB DDR4-2666 ECC registered across eight DIMM slots, leaving 16 slots open for expansion toward the 6 TB maximum.

Redundant 1000 W titanium supplies and 10 GbE

Two hot-swap 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies provide N+1 redundancy. Networking is handled by a quad-port Intel X710 10GBase-T adapter plus a dedicated RJ45 IPMI 2.0 port for KVM-over-LAN and virtual media. Expansion includes two full-height PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, four full-height x8 slots and one low-profile x8 slot. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.
