The Supermicro SYS-8048B-TRFT is a 4U rackmount system equipped with four Intel Xeon E7-4820 v2 processors running at 2.0 GHz with a 2.5 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides eight cores for a total of 32 cores across the platform. The unit ships with 512 GB of DDR3 1600 MHz registered ECC memory installed across 32 modules. Four hot-swap 1620 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide full redundancy for continuous operation. The LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i 8-port SAS 12 Gb/s RAID controller with 1 GB cache and battery backup supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. A SuperMicro AOC-STG-i2T add-on card provides two RJ45 10GBase-T ports via the Intel X540 controller for high-speed network connectivity.
