PCIe 3.0 x16 M.2 NVMe Adapter

The Wadermoon JEYI Swift adapter converts a single M.2 M-key NVMe SSD into a PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion card. It accepts drive lengths of 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 mm. The board includes two heatsinks made from copper and aluminium with 68 copper ventilation holes. A red LED indicates power and data activity. No driver installation is required for Windows, Mac or Linux systems.

Builders adding NVMe storage via a full-length slot

This card suits builders who have a free PCIe x16 slot and want to add an NVMe drive without using an M.2 socket on the motherboard. It does not support M.2 SATA (NGFF) SSDs, so buyers with SATA-based M.2 drives must look elsewhere. It also requires a physical x16 slot; it will not work in x1, x4 or x8 slots. Systems without a spare x16 lane cannot use this adapter.

Dual heatsinks and thermal pads manage drive

The package supplies an aluminium heatsink, a copper heatsink and three thermal pads to cool the installed SSD. The manufacturer states the solution can lower drive temperature by 25 degrees Celsius. The card draws power directly from the PCIe slot, so no extra cables are needed. By moving the NVMe drive to a PCIe x16 slot, the adapter frees up the motherboard M.2 socket for another drive or leaves it open for better airflow.
