Dual 19-pin USB 3.0 headers

The Yitter PCIe x1 card adds two internal 19-pin USB 3.0 headers through a single PCI Express 2.0 lane. It uses the NEC UPD720201 chipset to provide SuperSpeed connectivity for front-panel or internal devices. The card fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots and works with standard USB 3.0 cables and peripherals. Builders expanding internal USB connectivity will find the dual-header layout convenient.

Standard and low-profile brackets

A full-height bracket is fitted and a low-profile bracket is included in the package for slim chassis builds. Each header follows the 19-pin USB 3.0 pinout and supports 5 Gbps SuperSpeed transfer rates. The PCIe 2.0 x1 interface supplies sufficient bandwidth for both headers without additional power connectors. Installers can choose the bracket that matches their case without sourcing extra parts.

Two headers enable four ports

Each 19-pin header can break out to two USB 3.0 ports, so the card can ultimately serve up to four ports when paired with suitable cables or front-panel modules. The NEC UPD720201 controller maintains backward compatibility with existing USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. No driver discs or software utilities are bundled; the card relies on native operating-system support. Users needing external rear-I/O ports should consider a different form factor.
