This 64 GB kit contains eight 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC modules built for Dell PowerEdge R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 servers. It targets administrators who need to populate all slots in a 13th Gen rack platform with matched single-rank memory. The modules run at 1.2 V with CL15 latency and use major-brand chipsets. They are not compatible with desktop or laptop systems that require unbuffered non-ECC memory.

Installation constraints and capacity headroom

Each stick is a 288-pin RDIMM so the server must support registered ECC DDR4 and provide enough DIMM sockets for the eight-module kit. Mixing with load-reduced ECC modules is not supported and all installed modules must share the same ECC type. If faster or slower DDR4 modules are already present the system will clock down to the slowest speed.
