8GB DDR4 2666 ECC UDIMM server module

This 8GB DDR4 2666 ECC UDIMM module is built for servers and workstations that require error-correcting unbuffered memory. It replaces IBM-Lenovo part numbers 4ZC7A08696, 4X70S69155 and 4X70Z50946. The single-rank 1Rx8 layout uses major-brand chips at 1.20V standard voltage. Systems needing registered DIMMs or higher densities cannot use this module.

DDR4 2666 speed and CL19 timing limits

The DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) interface caps transfer rate at 2666 MT/s with a CAS latency of 19 cycles. Memory controllers that only support lower DDR4 speeds will downclock the module, while platforms requiring faster JEDEC speeds will not reach their rated bandwidth. The 288-pin DIMM form factor fits only DDR4 slots.

ECC UDIMM unbuffered design decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the ECC UDIMM (unbuffered) design. Motherboards wired for registered or load-reduced DIMMs will not accept this module, and non-ECC consumer boards cannot use the error-correction capability. Verify your system explicitly supports ECC unbuffered DDR4 before purchase.
