The ACTi Z317 is a 4MP outdoor bullet network camera with a fixed 2.8mm lens and integrated IR illumination reaching 50m. It captures 25 fps at 2560 x 1440 or 30 fps at 2304 x 1296 using H.265 Adaptive Stream, H.264 or MJPEG compression. Deep Learning AI enables smart motion detection while Superior WDR at 120 dB handles high-contrast scenes. The IP68 and IK10 rated housing suits exposed installations.

Single-Cable PoE Install with Manual Aiming

Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) supplies up to 5.5 W through the RJ-45 pigtail, removing the need for a separate 12V adapter. The bracket allows 360° pan, 90° tilt and 360° rotation so the fixed lens can be pointed precisely during mounting. Common issues include forgetting to seal the pigtail connector against moisture and leaving the default password active, which disables HTTPS encryption and IP address filtering.

Consistent 30 fps Streams

At 1920 x 1080 and below the camera sustains 30 fps continuously, while the top 2560 x 1440 resolution runs at 25 fps. Simultaneous dual streams let an NVR record the high-resolution feed while a client views a lower-bandwidth sub-stream. 2D+3D digital noise reduction and corridor mode keep image quality stable during long recording sessions, and the 0.003 lux colour sensitivity maintains detail through dusk without switching to IR.
