What this duplicator does

The Acumen Disc AD02-MM is a standalone multimedia duplicator that copies from one source to two target optical drives. It reads USB flash drives, CompactFlash, Secure Digital and Memory Stick cards, plus CD or DVD source discs. No computer connection is required for operation.

Limits of the standalone interface

The unit transfers data at 33 MB/s and writes to CD-R, DVD-R or DVD+R media. It cannot copy from an optical disc back to flash media. Multi-session recording combines multiple flash sources onto one disc, while disc spanning splits large sources across several discs automatically.

Capacity and headroom

Two writer drives let you produce a pair of identical discs in each run. Multi-session technology can merge many small flash cards onto a single disc, and disc spanning handles sources larger than one disc's capacity. The 20 x 2 LCD shows progress and status throughout the job.
