The Dell PowerEdge MX740C is a half-width blade server built for the PowerEdge MX modular chassis. It delivers dual Intel Gold 6134 processors at 3.2 GHz with eight cores each and 512 GB of DDR4 memory across sixteen 32 GB modules. Six 1.92 TB SATA SSDs provide internal storage managed by an H730P MX RAID controller.

Fits MX enclosure with fabric and mezzanine options

The sled occupies one half-width slot in the MX chassis and relies on the enclosure for power, cooling and fabric connectivity. Up to two pairs of general-purpose switch or pass-through bays can be populated in Fabrics A and B, while Fabric C accepts a redundant pair of storage-specific switch bays. A single MX XXV710 10/25Gb SFP28 dual-port mezzanine card supplies network I/O.

Managed remotely with iDRAC9 Express

System health, power state and firmware are monitored through iDRAC9 Express without requiring a local console. The H730P MX controller handles RAID duties for the six solid-state drives.
