Dual Xeon 1U server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each with 32 cores running at 2.0 GHz and boosting to 3.2 GHz, into a single rack unit. It targets organisations that need high core counts for virtualisation, cloud infrastructure or data analytics while conserving rack space. The platform supports up to 1 TB of DDR4 memory across 16 DIMM slots.

Redundant platinum power and front airflow

Two hot-swap 1400 W platinum-rated supplies provide full redundancy for the 10-drive chassis and dual-CPU configuration. Air moves front-to-back through the 1U enclosure, cooling the CPUs, memory and storage controller without requiring side clearances. The power design maintains efficiency across typical server loads while the redundant supplies allow maintenance without downtime.

H745 RAID cache and quad 1 GbE connectivity

The PERC H745 controller adds 4 GB of battery-backed NV cache, enabling RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the ten 1.8 TB 10K SAS drives. A Broadcom 5720 OCP 3.0 card delivers four 1 GbE ports for management and workload traffic. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides remote console, telemetry and automation APIs for lights-out administration.
