The Dell PowerEdge R650xs fits two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 processors in a single rack unit. Each CPU runs at 2.1 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo across 12 cores. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. It targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and data analytics workloads that demand high core density in minimal space.

PERC H745 controller with eight 1.8 TB SAS drives

A front-mounted PERC H745 RAID controller provides 4 GB of non-volatile cache backed by a battery. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the eight installed 2.5-inch 10 K SAS drives. The OCP 3.0 quad-port 1 GbE network card and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management are also included, along with ready rails and a front bezel for immediate rack integration.

Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies limit deployment

Two hot-swap 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver full redundancy. Facilities must provision circuits and PDUs capable of sustaining this draw; sites without adequate power infrastructure cannot use the server as configured. The LGA 4189 socket and 1 TB maximum memory capacity define future upgrade boundaries.
