Dual-socket Silver 4210 server for virtualisation

The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 fits a 2U rack and runs two Intel Silver 4210 processors, each with ten cores. One hundred twenty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory supports multiple virtual machines or container workloads. Six 2 TB 7.2K SAS drives provide high-capacity storage on the H740P controller.

Eight 2.5-inch bays with redundant 1100 W power

The chassis holds up to eight 2.5-inch drives, leaving two bays free for future expansion. Dual 1100 W power supplies deliver redundancy for continuous operation. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote firmware updates, power control and console access without a local monitor or keyboard.
