Upgrade from single-socket or older Xeon platforms

The jump makes sense when core count, memory bandwidth and internal storage density must grow together. Two Gold 6330 CPUs provide 56 threads and support DDR4 2933 MHz across 32 DIMM slots, while the PERC H755 controller with 8 GB NV cache handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. PCIe Gen 4 lanes and an OCP 3.0 quad-port 1 GbE card remove I/O bottlenecks that limit earlier 2U designs.

Tool-less rails and hot-swap components simplify

Ready Rails let the unit slide into a standard rack without screws, and the bezel snaps on afterwards. All 24 drives, both power supplies and the PERC H755 card are hot-swappable, so failed parts can be replaced live. The only common snag is cable routing for the 24 SAS cables behind the backplane; plan the routing order before seating the drives to avoid blocking the PCIe riser.
