Large-screen laptop for everyday work

The HP 17 laptop uses an Intel Core i3-N305 eight-core processor that reaches 3.8 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory. A 2 TB PCIe SSD provides ample space for documents and media. The 17.3 inch HD+ panel shows 1600 x 900 resolution with anti-glare coating and 250 nits brightness. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence are included.

Check ports and graphics needs before ordering

One USB-C port at 5 Gbps handles data only and does not carry video or charging. Two USB-A ports also run at 5 Gbps. A single HDMI 1.4b output connects an external display. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory and has no dedicated video RAM. No SD card reader, fingerprint sensor or backlit keyboard is fitted.

Sustained load behaviour with integrated graphics

Under continuous load the eight cores share a modest power envelope so clock speeds settle below the 3.8 GHz peak. The UHD graphics uses the same thermal budget and 16 GB system memory, limiting frame rates in 3D tasks. Fan noise rises as the chassis dissipates heat through its 0.78 inch profile. Battery life shortens noticeably during prolonged heavy use.
