Dual 10-core CPUs at 2.3 GHz maintain throughput across virtualised or multi-threaded workloads without the thermal throttling common in smaller enclosures. The H240 controller delivers 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA bandwidth to the drive bays, so storage latency stays predictable when queues build. Sixteen DIMM slots allow memory to scale with the working set, keeping swap activity low during extended runs. Redundant 550 W supplies share the load evenly, reducing stress on any single unit.

Sixteen DDR4 slots decide the upgrade path

Memory capacity tops out at 1 TB only when every slot is populated with 64 GB modules, so buyers who need more than 8 GB today must plan a full DIMM replacement. The H240 controller lacks RAID 6 or 60, so arrays larger than two drives cannot survive a second simultaneous disk failure. Eight 2.5-inch bays limit raw capacity compared with 3.5-inch alternatives, and the Matrox G200 graphics provide only basic console output.
