The Khadas Edge2 IO Module is a compact expansion board that adds physical interfaces to the Edge2 single-board computer. It provides a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an SD card reader supporting UHS-I, and detachable crimp connectors for USB host, analog speaker output, and analog microphone input. An infrared receiver with dual-channel support is also included for remote-control applications.

Makers needing analog I/O and GPIO access

This module suits developers who require direct access to CPU and MCU signals through a 16-pin GPIO header and a 10-pin pogo-pad array. It exposes interfaces such as UART, ADC, SPI, I2C, I2S, PWM, and debug pins for both processors. Builders who only need the standard ports already present on the Edge2 main board, or who require high-speed storage interfaces not provided here, should consider other expansion options.

16-pin GPIO and 10-pin pogo expansion

The 16-pin header at 2.54 mm pitch and the 10-pin pogo pads at the same pitch give ample headroom for prototyping custom daughter boards or connecting test equipment. The board measures 52.2 mm long, extending to 66.7 mm with the FPC, by 46.5 mm wide and 6.3 mm high. It does not add internal storage, wireless radios, or high-current power delivery beyond the signals exposed on the headers.
