Eight-port server NIC

The LR-LINK card adds eight Gigabit RJ45 ports through a single PCI Express 2.1 x4 slot. It targets administrators who need dense copper connectivity for virtualisation hosts, software routers or storage clusters without consuming multiple expansion slots.

1000 Mbps per port headroom

Each port negotiates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps and the x4 host link provides enough aggregate bandwidth for several simultaneous 1 Gbps streams. The adapter will saturate when total traffic exceeds the PCIe 2.1 x4 ceiling, so deployments pushing sustained line-rate on all eight ports need a faster host interface.

Large heatsink and broad OS support

A substantial high-efficiency radiator keeps the dual-controller board stable inside airflow-restricted chassis. Hardware checksum and segmentation offload reduce host CPU load. Drivers cover Windows from XP through Server 2019, Linux kernels 2.6.32 and later, plus VMware ESXi 4.x onward.
