This Intel B460 motherboard fits the LGA 1200 socket and accepts 10th Gen Intel Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. The Micro-ATX form factor provides four expansion slots and six SATA 6Gb/s ports in a compact layout. A single M.2 Key M slot supports PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA drives in 2242, 2260 or 2280 lengths. Realtek ALC892 audio delivers 7.1 channels and the Realtek 8111H controller handles wired networking.

Memory speed scales with the installed CPU

When a Core i7 or i9 is fitted, the two DDR4 slots can run up to 2933 MHz in dual-channel mode. With a Core i5 or lower the ceiling drops to 2666 MHz. Both limits apply to sustained workloads, so the board maintains the rated frequency without throttling during long render or compile sessions. Maximum capacity is 64 GB across the two 288-pin slots.

One PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for a graphics card

The board provides a single full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slot plus two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for add-in cards. Onboard video outputs — one DVI-D at 1920x1200 @60Hz and one HDMI 1.4 at 4096x2160 @30Hz — are active only when the processor includes integrated graphics. This slot count and layout define the expansion ceiling for the build.
