Targeted Upgrade Kit

This 64GB kit contains two 32GB DDR4 UDIMM modules built for desktop systems. It is aimed at owners of the Supermicro X12STE-F or X12STD-F motherboards who need a straight-forward capacity increase. The modules are non-ECC and unbuffered, matching the board's standard memory slots. Builders using server-class ECC platforms or laptop SODIMM slots cannot use this kit.

Density and Rank Configuration

Each module uses a 2Rx8 organisation, giving two ranks per DIMM at the x8 device width. This rank structure is the single specification that determines whether the memory controller recognises the full 64GB and runs at the rated DDR4 3200 speed. A different rank count or device width would change how the board populates its slots and could limit usable capacity.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

The modules operate at a standard 1.20V and carry a CL22 latency rating at 3200 MT/s. Major OEM chips from Samsung, Micron or Hynix are tested for stability at these settings, so the kit maintains its rated throughput during extended workloads without requiring voltage increases. The absence of a heat spreader means airflow across the motherboard remains the only cooling path.
