Targeted Server Upgrade

This kit delivers 256 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across four 64 GB modules. It is built for Cisco UCS B200 M6, C125 M5, C220 M6, C240 M6 and C245 M6 servers that require registered DIMMs. Standard desktop boards and unbuffered or load-reduced memory configurations cannot use these modules.

DDR4 3200 Registered Limits

The modules run at 3200 MT/s with CL22 latency at 1.2 V on a 288-pin interface. Registered signalling adds one cycle of buffering, so the memory controller must support registered DIMMs. Mixing with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs is not supported and will prevent the system from posting.

Capacity and Headroom

Four 64 GB dual-rank modules fill four slots and provide 256 GB total capacity for heavily virtualised workloads or large in-memory databases. Servers with fewer than four available slots or a lower per-slot limit cannot accept the full kit. Systems that cap registered memory below 256 GB will not utilise the complete upgrade.
