Low-voltage ECC operation

Each module runs at 1.2V with a CL19 latency at 2666MHz, keeping power draw minimal inside the sealed rack chassis. ECC circuitry corrects single-bit errors on the fly, protecting data integrity during long uptime cycles. No heat spreader is fitted, relying on the system's directed airflow; acoustic impact is therefore unchanged from the stock configuration. Systems originally populated with 2400MHz or 2133MHz sticks will clock the new modules down automatically.

260-pin SODIMM form factor

The narrow circuit board slides into the RS820+/RP+ memory bays without tools, and the 2Rx8 organisation fills both rank channels per slot for optimal bandwidth. JEDEC and RoHS compliance means the upgrade does not void the Synology warranty. Builders who need registered DIMMs or modules with integrated heat spreaders for passive-cooled enclosures should look elsewhere, as this kit provides neither.
