Server-grade ECC RDIMM kit

This 64GB kit contains four 16GB DDR3L 1600 CL11 registered DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge C6220, C6220 II, C8000, C8220 and C8220X servers. Each module runs at 1.35V with 2Rx4 organisation and on-die ECC for data integrity in multi-socket workloads. The 240-pin form factor fits the DDR3L slots native to these platforms. Buyers needing unbuffered desktop memory or a different DDR generation cannot use this kit.

Build integration

The modules install directly into the 240-pin DDR3L slots of the listed PowerEdge chassis without adapters or risers. Registered signalling reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing all four DIMMs to populate a channel at the rated 1600 MT/s. ECC operation requires a platform that enables the feature in BIOS; standard desktop boards will not initialise these DIMMs. Mixing with unbuffered modules is not supported by the memory controller.

Sustained operation

JEDEC-compliant 1.35V DDR3L parts dissipate less heat than standard-voltage DDR3, helping maintain stable timings during long compute runs. The registered buffer re-drives address and command signals each cycle, preserving signal integrity when all ranks are active continuously. ECC corrects single-bit errors on the fly, preventing silent data corruption during extended database or virtualisation workloads. No heat spreaders are fitted, so chassis airflow must meet the server vendor’s thermal specification.
