Server ECC RDIMM Upgrade

This OWC module provides 8GB of DDR3 ECC Registered memory built for workstations, servers and compatible NAS or router platforms. It operates at 1066MHz with a CL7 latency and uses a 240-pin form factor. The 4Rx8 organisation and 1.5V rating match JEDEC PC3-8500 specifications for registered DIMMs.

Registered ECC Interface Constraints

Registered DIMMs place a register between the DRAM and the memory controller, which buffers address and command signals to reduce electrical load. This design allows larger memory capacities per channel but adds one clock cycle of latency compared with unbuffered modules. The module will only function in systems whose chipset and BIOS explicitly support registered ECC operation.

Pre-Installation Verification
