Five SATA III ports
The Syba SI-PEX40139 adds five internal SATA III 6 Gb/s ports through a single PCI Express x4 slot. It is designed for builders who need more drive connections than the motherboard provides, supporting up to 1700 MB/s aggregate throughput. The card operates in non-RAID mode and works with port multipliers that are not configured as RAID arrays. Plug-and-play operation means no extra driver installation is required on supported operating systems.
x4 slot and standard connectors
A full-height bracket fits typical desktop cases, and the x4 edge connector occupies one PCI Express expansion slot. Five standard SATA data headers line the top edge, allowing straight or right-angle cables to be routed cleanly behind the motherboard tray. No external power connector is present, so all attached drives must draw power from the system’s own supply. The low-profile circuitry leaves room for adjacent cards in tight builds.
