1U Rackmount NAS for Edge and Branch Offices
The Synology RS826RP+ is a compact 1U rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz powers the system with eight threads. It arrives fully assembled and tested with 16 GB DDR4 memory, 800 GB enterprise cache and four 8 TB Synology Plus drives installed.
800 GB Cache and Expansion Slot Add Flexibility
Two 400 GB Synology Enterprise Cache SSDs reduce latency and improve IOPS across the hard-drive array. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter or a combined M.2 and 10 GbE card. One RX426 expansion unit can be attached to double the bay count to eight.
32 TB Raw Capacity with Room to 192 TB
Four 8 TB drives deliver 32 TB of raw storage out of the box. Adding the RX426 unit raises the maximum supported raw capacity to 192 TB using 24 TB drives. The four-bay chassis limits internal growth without the expansion unit, and the four 1 GbE ports cap network throughput unless a faster adapter is installed in the PCIe slot.
