The Dell EMC PowerEdge M640 is a half-height blade server built for modern data centres. It runs dual Intel Xeon Gold 6230 processors, each offering 20 cores at 2.1 GHz with a 3.9 GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight modules. It targets virtualisation, private cloud and high-performance computing workloads.

PERC H330 Controller and 10Gb Networking

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H330 mini mono controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and 50 across two 2.5-inch drive bays. Two 960 GB SATA 6 Gb/s enterprise SSDs are installed.
