Mini PCIe to Dual USB 3.0 Adapter
This expansion card converts a spare Mini PCI Express slot into two internal USB 3.0 ports using a 20-pin motherboard header. Ensure the power supply provides a free SATA 15-pin connector to deliver the required 5V power, because the Mini PCIe slot itself does not supply that voltage. A driver CD is included for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 2003 and Linux operating systems.
Adds Two Internal USB 3.0 Ports
The card outputs a single 20-pin header, also referred to as 19-pin, which connects to the motherboard's internal USB 3.0 header for two Type-A ports. It draws auxiliary power from the SATA 15-pin cable, leaving the Mini PCIe lane free for data only. Hot-swap capability is supported, and the xHCI 1.0 controller maintains backward compatibility with USB 2.0, 1.1 and 1.0 devices.
