The ASUS VivoBook is a new 17.3-inch laptop built around a 10th generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 12 GB of DDR4 memory arranged as 4 GB onboard plus an 8 GB SO-DIMM module. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed on a 2 TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. The silver chassis weighs 5.06 lb and measures 16.00 by 10.06 by 0.62 inches.

12 GB mixed DDR4 configuration

The memory layout uses 4 GB soldered to the board and an 8 GB removable stick, so total capacity cannot exceed 12 GB. Buyers who want more storage or the ability to upgrade RAM beyond this limit should consider a different platform. Integrated Intel UHD graphics share system memory, which further reduces the amount available for applications.

Fingerprint reader and Wi-Fi 6

A fingerprint sensor integrated into the keyboard enables Windows Hello sign-in without a password. The backlit full-size keyboard includes a numeric keypad for spreadsheet work. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide current wireless standards, while a 720p webcam handles video calls. Ports include one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 2.0, one HDMI, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and a microSD reader.
