Narrow ILM LGA 3647 cooler for 1U servers
The Dynatron B3 is a new low-profile air cooler built for Intel LGA 3647 sockets using the narrow ILM mounting pattern. It fits inside a 1U chassis with a maximum cooler height of 28 mm and handles processors rated up to 165 W TDP. The copper 1100 skived-fin heatsink and horizontal 80 mm blower fan target dense rack deployments where vertical clearance is fixed.
Upgrade from stock narrow-ILM heatsinks
Stock coolers supplied with narrow ILM Xeon processors often max out at lower TDPs and higher acoustic levels. The B3 replaces them when the workload sustains 165 W in a 1U form factor and the system can drive a 4-pin PWM fan. The jump is worth it when the existing cooler throttles under sustained load or when fan noise at full speed exceeds the 57.1 dBA ceiling of this unit.
Limited by 1U height and single 80 mm PWM blower
The 28 mm Z-height cap rules out taller fin stacks or larger fans, so thermal capacity tops out at the rated 165 W. Airflow peaks at 21.0 CFM with 70.9 mm-H₂O pressure at 7000 RPM, but noise reaches 57.1 dBA at that duty cycle. Systems without PWM fan headers or with restricted front-to-rear airflow paths cannot exploit the full performance envelope.
