It suits makers producing phone covers, keyboard protectors, insoles or flexible prototypes.

Upgrade from rigid or brittle filaments

Switching to FleXD is worth it when your current PLA, PETG or standard TPU cracks under repeated bending or wears too quickly in high-friction areas. The material delivers high shear strength and maintains layer adhesion at 30 % speed around 15 mm/s, so functional prints survive impacts that would shatter harder plastics. It also works with spoolWorks Scaffold support that dissolves in tap water.

Check printer compatibility before ordering

Verify your extruder handles 2.85 mm filament and can reach a nozzle temperature between 220 and 240 °C. The heated bed must support 45 to 85 °C and you should have glue stick ready for bed adhesion. Because every printer behaves differently, be prepared to fine-tune settings for reliable results.
