High-speed InfiniBand FDR adapter
The HP 544 is a dual-port QSFP network adapter that delivers 10 or 40 Gbps InfiniBand connectivity over a PCI Express x8 slot. It is built for HP servers that need low-latency, high-throughput links in compute clusters and data-intensive workloads. The card uses part numbers 764618-001, 764285-B21 and 764737-001.
Suited for HPC clusters, not general-purpose servers
This adapter fits HP server platforms that run InfiniBand FDR fabrics for parallel computing, storage clustering or high-performance messaging. Buyers who need Ethernet, Fibre Channel or single-port connectivity should look at a different adapter. It also does not support copper twinax or optical modules that are not qualified for the QSFP FDR interface.
PCI Express x8 slot requirement
Installation requires an available PCI Express x8 slot in a compatible HP server chassis. Without that slot the card cannot be fitted, so verify the server expansion layout before purchase. The 40 Gbps maximum data rate is only achieved when the slot and fabric both operate at FDR speed.

คำถามเกี่ยวกับสินค้านี้
How much power does the HP 544 InfiniBand FDR 2-port QSFP card draw when running continuously at 40 Gbps?
The card is rated for a maximum data rate of 40 Gbps across its two QSFP ports and fits a PCI Express x8 slot.
What cabling and transceiver modules are needed to connect the 544 adapter’s QSFP ports?
Each of the two ports accepts a QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) module; choose InfiniBand FDR-compatible optics or direct-attach cables that match your link distance.
Will the 544 card work in an older HP server that only has PCI Express x4 slots?
The adapter requires a compatible PCI Express x8 slot; an x4 slot will not provide the necessary lane count for the 40 Gbps InfiniBand FDR link.
