The HP 544 is a dual-port QSFP network adapter that delivers 10 or 40 Gbps InfiniBand connectivity over a PCI Express x8 slot. Suited for HPC clusters, not general-purpose servers

This adapter fits HP server platforms that run InfiniBand FDR fabrics for parallel computing, storage clustering or high-performance messaging. Buyers who need Ethernet, Fibre Channel or single-port connectivity should look at a different adapter. It also does not support copper twinax or optical modules that are not qualified for the QSFP FDR interface.
