Capacity and Compatibility

The Team Group T-FORCE CARDEA A440 is a 2TB internal SSD built for consumer workloads. It fits the M.2 2280 slot and connects through a PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 interface using the NVMe 1.4 protocol. The drive is also validated for PlayStation 5 expansion storage.

Thermal Design and Installation

Two patented heat sinks ship in the box: a high-strength aluminium unit with a thermal diversion structure and an ultra-thin graphene sheet. The aluminium sink can lower temperatures by up to 15 percent while the graphene option delivers up to 9 percent reduction. Either sink mounts without clearance interference in tight chassis.

Endurance Rating

The drive is rated for 1400TB written and a 3000000 hour MTBF. Operating temperature spans 0°C to 70°C with storage tolerance from -40°C to 85°C. This endurance figure is the primary metric for deciding if the SSD matches your write-intensive workload.
