The Transcend TS-RDF5K is an external flash reader with two slots that accept SDHC, SDXC, microSDHC and microSDXC cards. It connects through a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface while remaining compatible with USB 2.0 ports. USB 3.0 bandwidth and UHS-I card limits
The reader uses a USB 3.0 connection that also works on USB 2.0, so transfer speed is bounded by the port you plug into. Cards are supported up to the UHS-I specification, meaning the hardware cannot utilise the higher bus speeds of UHS-II or UHS-III media. Users with those faster cards will see performance capped at the UHS-I level regardless of the card rating.
Ultra-compact build with LED activity light
The housing is small enough to stay plugged into a laptop during travel and draws power solely from the USB port.
