What this enclosure does

The LUOM Eyield E05 turns any 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD between 7 mm and 9.5 mm thick into a portable USB 3.0 drive. It accepts drives up to 2 TB and works with Windows, Linux and Mac OS without installing drivers. The tool-free design lets you swap drives in seconds and a supplied PU bag protects the unit during transport.

Sustained transfer behaviour

The enclosure uses a USB 3.0 connection rated at 5 Gbps and supports UASP, which the supplier says is 20 percent faster than standard USB 3.0 for typical workloads.
