The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors. Each chip runs at 2.1 GHz with a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency and provides 16 cores, giving 32 cores in total. It targets midsize and large enterprises running virtual desktop infrastructure, databases or high-performance computing workloads.

512 GB DDR4 with room to grow

The system ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory arranged as sixteen 32 GB modules at 2400 MHz.
