The decisive specification is the four-socket configuration populated with 24-core Xeon E7-8890 v4 CPUs and 768 GB of DDR4 memory. This combination targets applications that scale across many threads and require large coherent memory footprints such as SAP HANA, Oracle or SQL Server. The LGA 2011 platform and C602J chipset limit upgrades to the same processor family.

H730P RAID and quad-port networking

A PERC H730P 2 GB controller manages the four installed 1.8 TB 10K SAS drives with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support.
