This design uses a sandwich construction to apply even pressure across the drive for consistent heat transfer. The bundle fits the PS5 expansion slot directly for a quick installation.

Heatsink replaces the stock cover

Unlike add-on sinks that trap heat under the metal lid, the supplied heatsink becomes the new cover and works with the PS5's internal fan. This arrangement improves airflow over the controller and NAND during extended play sessions. The drive therefore sustains its rated speeds without thermal throttling.
