Purpose and audience
Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut TG-C-005-R is a liquid metal thermal compound with a thermal conductivity of 73 W/mK. It is intended for experienced builders who need maximum heat transfer on nickel-plated copper or silicon surfaces. The product is not suitable for aluminium components because the alloy causes corrosion. It also conducts electricity, so care is required to avoid short circuits.
Sustained-load behaviour
The compound maintains its performance across a long-term operating range of 10 °C to +140 °C and remains stable even with prolonged use. Increased indium content in the eutectic alloy of tin, gallium and indium contributes to consistent heat dissipation over time. It is not recommended for large cooling systems where the liquid consistency could migrate away from the die. The material also functions down to -50 °C for extreme cooling scenarios.
Installation and common issues
A synthetic needle on the syringe allows precise placement on CPU or GPU dies, but the liquid viscosity of 0,0021 Pas means it spreads quickly and can bridge gaps if over-applied. Users must mask surrounding components because electrical conductivity creates a short-circuit risk. The paste cannot be used on aluminium heatsinks or cold plates; doing so causes permanent surface damage. Clean-up requires specific solvents rather than standard alcohol wipes.

Otázky k tomuto produktu
Does the 73 W/mK Conductonaut paste stay stable when the CPU runs at 140 °C all day?
Yes, the alloy is rated for continuous operation from 10 °C to 140 °C and maintains its 73 W/mK conductivity across that range.
My cooler base is bare aluminum — can I still use this 1.0 g syringe?
No, the liquid metal reacts with aluminum and causes permanent corrosion; it must be applied only to nickel-plated copper or bare silicon surfaces.
Will the electrically conductive paste short my older motherboard if it spreads near the socket pins?
Yes, Conductonaut conducts electricity, so you must mask off surrounding components and apply sparingly to prevent shorts on any board, old or new.
