The WRIARICH SA28 connects 2.5in and 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drives and 5.25in optical drives to a USB 3.0 Type-C port. It is built for technicians and home users who need to recover data or access legacy drives without installing them internally. The adapter works with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. No driver installation is required.

Bundled Power and Cabling Included

A 12V 2A power adapter and a 4-pin power cable ship in the box so 3.5in drives and optical units receive adequate power outside a chassis. The single USB cable carries both data and control signals, keeping the setup compact and portable for bench work or travel.

USB 3.0 Interface Limits

The USB 3.0 connection tops out at 3.0 speeds and falls back to 2.0 or 1.1 on older ports, so maximum throughput depends on the host controller. Mechanical hard drives will saturate well below the bus ceiling, while SSDs are capped by the USB 3.0 pipeline rather than their own SATA link.
