This 256 GB kit comprises four 64 GB DDR4 2400 ECC LRDIMM modules built for servers and workstations that support load-reduced memory. The quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation lets each module present a single electrical load to the memory controller, allowing higher total capacity per channel than standard registered DIMMs. It is not compatible with desktop or laptop platforms.

Headroom for virtualisation and large datasets

The 256 GB total provides ample space for running multiple virtual machines, large in-memory databases or heavy rendering jobs without swapping. At DDR4 2400 CL17 the bandwidth suits typical dual-socket server workloads, while the 1.2 V operation keeps power draw within standard DDR4 limits. Systems limited to lower memory speeds or fewer populated slots will not reach the full kit capacity.

Load-reduced design and 288-pin DIMM form factor

LRDIMM buffering reduces electrical loading on the motherboard, improving signal integrity when all slots are filled.
