Universal drive reader
The Adiven AD-STAIDE-1 connects SATA and IDE hard drives or optical drives to a computer through USB 3.0 and USB-C ports. It accepts 2.5 and 3.5 inch HDDs or SSDs, 2.5 and 3.5 inch IDE drives and 5.25 inch optical drives. The kit is intended for data recovery, backup or cloning tasks on Windows or Mac systems. No driver installation is required for basic operation.
Thermals and power
The unit draws power from the included 12V 2A adapter and a 4-pin cable when a 3.5 inch drive is attached. Smaller drives can run from the host port alone. The ABS housing passively dissipates heat without a fan, so the adapter adds no audible noise during normal use. Power consumption scales with the connected drive rather than the adapter itself.
Included accessories
A dual-head USB-A and USB-C cable lets the adapter plug into almost any modern or legacy port without a separate dongle. The 40-pin and 44-pin IDE connectors plus one SATA III connector allow three drives to be read simultaneously. The manual explains the jumper setting required for older IDE drives to appear correctly in disk management.
