The ASUS PRIME Z490M-PLUS fits an LGA 1200 socket and the Intel Z490 chipset into a Micro ATX layout. It targets builders who want a compact platform for 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core i9, i7, i5 or i3 processors. Four DDR4 slots and dual M.2 sockets provide expansion room inside smaller cases.

128 GB DDR4 ceiling with wide overclock range

Four 288-pin slots accept up to 128 GB of non-ECC unbuffered DDR4. Native speeds reach 2933 MHz on 10th Gen i9 and i7 CPUs; the board validates overclocked steps from 3000 through 4400 MHz. Two channels keep bandwidth balanced. Memory runs out when all slots are populated at the highest frequencies or when a kit exceeds the qualified vendor list.

Dual M.2 plus display outputs for integrated

The first M.2 socket takes 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 modules on a PCIe 3.0 x4 link. The second accepts 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives in either SATA or PCIe 3.0 x4 mode. Rear I/O includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 1.4b and DVI-D, enabling video from CPUs with integrated graphics. Fan Xpert 4 and hybrid headers let software tune cooling curves.
