Dynatron A50 280 TDP SP3 Cooler

The Dynatron A50 is a CPU air cooler built for AMD Threadripper, Threadripper Pro and EPYC processors using the SP3 socket. It uses an aluminium heatsink with embedded heatpipes and a 4-pin PWM fan to dissipate up to 280 watts of thermal power. The unit is designed for 3U server chassis and workstations that need reliable active cooling.

Installation uses standard SP3 mounting

The cooler mounts directly to the SP3 socket retention mechanism with the supplied hardware, and the 4-pin PWM connector plugs into the motherboard header for automatic speed control. No additional brackets or backplates are required for the listed sockets. Ensure the 3U chassis provides enough vertical clearance for the heatsink height and that the fan cable reaches the header without strain.

Verify socket, TDP and chassis height

Confirm the motherboard uses an SP3, sWRX8, sTRX4 or TR4 socket before ordering. Check that the processor TDP does not exceed 280 watts, as the cooler is rated for that limit. Measure the available height inside your 3U or taller chassis to guarantee the heatsink fits without contacting the side panel or other components.
