The Intel NUC14RVKU5 barebone delivers a Core Ultra 5 125H processor with 14 cores and 18 threads, plus integrated Arc graphics and a dedicated NPU for AI workloads. It targets builders who want a compact desktop for productivity, media playback or light creative tasks without a discrete GPU. The chassis measures 117 by 112 by 37 mm and includes VESA mounting hardware for behind-display installation. Buyers who need more than two storage drives or a full-size graphics card should look elsewhere.

Thermals and power

A 120 W 19 V adapter ships with the unit and the board accepts 12 V to 20 V DC input, so a compatible alternative supply can be used. The slim enclosure relies on an internal fan to move heat away from the 4.50 GHz boost processor and Arc graphics running at 2.2 GHz. Under typical office loads the system stays quiet, while sustained multi-core work will raise fan speed and surface temperature. No liquid-cooling provision or external radiator support exists.

Build integration

Two SO-DIMM slots take DDR5 5600 memory up to 96 GB in dual-channel mode, and two M.2 slots accept a 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe drive plus a 2242 PCIe x4 NVMe drive. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 TMDS ports, two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C at 20 Gbps, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, 2.5 Gb Ethernet via an i226-LM controller, Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3. A Kensington lock slot secures the chassis.
