Server memory upgrade

This 64GB DDR4 3200 module adds registered ECC capacity to ThinkMate rackmount servers including the RAX-XN24, XS4, XT10, XS8, XH8, XH10, XH12, XT24 and S3. It runs at 1.2V with CL22 latency and uses a 4Rx4 organisation across 288 pins. The stick is built with major OEM chips and validated for mission-critical workloads.

Build integration

The RDIMM format fits standard DDR4 server DIMM slots and the registered buffer reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing higher total capacities per channel. ECC protection corrects single-bit errors to maintain data integrity under sustained load. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the module is unimpeded in dense chassis.

Replacement context

This module replaces lower-capacity or non-ECC DDR4 RDIMMs when the platform requires registered memory and 64GB per slot. The jump is worth it when the workload exceeds the current memory ceiling or when error correction becomes a requirement for stability. It does not suit systems that accept only unbuffered UDIMMs or that are limited to speeds below 3200 MT/s.
