Server Memory Kit

This OWC kit provides 1TB of DDR4 ECC Load Reduced memory across eight 128GB modules. It is built for the Supermicro H12SST-PS motherboard in server and workstation roles. The 288-pin LRDIMM form factor and 4Rx4 organisation are intended for high-density platforms that support load-reduced technology. It will not work in standard desktops or systems that require unbuffered or registered DIMMs.

Speed and Compatibility Limits

The modules run at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400) with a CAS latency of CL21 at 1.2V. They are backward compatible with 2133, 2400 and 2666MHz bus speeds when the platform dictates a lower rate. JEDEC compliance ensures the kit meets the electrical and timing standards for DDR4 server memory. Mixing these LRDIMMs with unbuffered or registered ECC modules is not supported.

Build and Daily Use

Each module operates without a heat spreader, relying on chassis airflow for cooling. The 288-pin edge connector seats in standard DDR4 LRDIMM slots on the target board. ECC and load-reduction circuitry help maintain data integrity and signal quality in densely populated configurations. The kit is designed as a warranty-safe upgrade for the specified Supermicro platform.
